This is why we pride ourselves on using custom software, when other companies try to use massive, complicated out-of-the-box (and I'd better not mention free, because they charge for it) content management systems like Mambo and Joomla!, that are so complicated to use, that many companies have only one or two employees that want to take the time to learn it.

Simple Site Changes

When your site is finished, you can keep your customers coming back for more. We'll give you a simple area to log in to. From there, you can change any areas of your site that we have made editable. It's as easy as filling in a few blanks on a form.

Photo Uploads

Our focus on point and click simplicity means that if you need to put new photos up on your web site regularly, we'll make it so you can take them directly off of the camera and place them on the web site. If the picture is too large, your site will shrink it to fit automatically, and create as many sizes as needed (for example, thumbnails). This means that you don't need an image editing program to put pictures on a site made by Computing Made Easy.

Event Calendars

It gets no easier than pulling up a calendar and clicking a date to add a new event. You pick the start and end times, and type up any other information you want to appear with it, and it instantly shows up on your web site calendar when you press save.

YES, We Do Offer Content Management Systems

A Content Management System (CMS) is great in theory - it makes it as easy to edit or add pages as using Microsoft Word. In practice, many of the pre-built solutions out there require you to understand a complex hierarchy when placing a new page on the site, and even though you don't have to understand anything more than Microsoft Word to edit a page — it's not easy to design a web page in Microsoft Word! You are often left with a blank canvas when adding a new page to your site, and you still have to rely on a designer just to make it look and feel like part of your site.

A Custom CMS from Computing Made Easy takes individual sections of your web site into account, and lets you fill in specific content areas of a page, while still leaving every page of the site looking professionally designed.

Static vs. Dynamic

A static web site is the "old" way of doing things. You hire a company to create a site, and then you hire them a couple times a month to keep things up to date. Quite often, the cost of these monthly updates outweigh the original cost of the site's design. At Computing Made Easy, we help you identify the areas of your site that need changed the most often, and create a simple interface for you to make changes through. Some pages on your site will still be static.

This is why you may find that our price is a bit higher than some of our competitors. Remember, this is only your up-front cost, and we want to help you save money over the long term.
